NICE CONDITION HALL RIFLE

PRICE   $  2,550.00

DESCRIPTION

A high condition model 1819, second type Hall Rifle converted to percussion.  Manufactured in 1834 by Harpers Ferry Arsenal. 52 caliber breech loading. Brown lacquer finished barrel and iron mountings with case hardened breech block. Walnut stock and iron button head ramrod.  Breech block marked "J. H. HALL / H. FERRY /US / 1834"

The first production firearm to have fully interchangeable parts. These guns saw service in the Mexican War and many were stored in Southern arsenals at the outbreak of the Civil War and were converted to percussion for issue to Confederate troops.

CONDITION

An excellent condition gun with smooth metal parts and sharp wood. The barrel is brown with trace of lacquer remaining. The breech block shows much of the case colors and crisp markings. The trigger guard and mechanism lever retains much of the original Harpers Ferry browning. Ramrod is original. Wood has sharp edges with minor storage marks and some chipping in ramrod channel.

An extremely nice rifle.
